The Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media at MSU offers studies in Digital Media Arts and Technology and Information Technology Management.  A team of 20 students and faculty worked on That’s What Swingin’ Is and its sister documentary Inside Jazz:  Everybody’s Welcome, garnering invaluable real world experience. 

Jazz Studies at MSU, led by bassist Rodney Whitaker, is committed to the highest level of performance, mentoring, education and community outreach. This unique program is comprised of nationally and internationally renowned faculty members, drawn directly from the highest ranks of the international jazz community. All faculty members have the experience of performing with top-notch recording and performing artists in jazz and the music industry.
